Travelopia 2.0
The design for Travelopia started with a simple but a pivotal brief. Collaboration. Typical to modern offices, conceptualised large open spaces that encourage group discussions and team efforts was imperative to the brief, so the office was designed to have many pockets of collaborative spaces. Under toned aesthetics with an abstracted interpretation of minimalism was the overview of the design. Splashes of colour, a single colour, was intentionally incorporated to inspire ‘out of the box’ thinking.
The ask was also to avoid any visible hierarchy that the design could represent. With no cabin seatings, the open plan office had the entire team seated together, from the CEO to the intern. This encouraged discussions and synergies which was the premise of the functioning of the brand.
Being a global name in travel tech, the office design needed to embody an international appeal, yet parts infused with our Indian cultural flavour. Murals and artwork have been strategically planned to represent this.
To capture a seamless flow into the different corners of the office, glass with sleek aluminium channels form most of the partitions. Modular furniture, quick to be disassembled and reassembled for any future expansion or relocation, was an advance towards sustainability. To further champion sustainability, introduction of upcycled furniture, recycled plastic boards, lime plaster finish to resemble cement texture, etc. have also been integrated.
