Sway

Realizing the potential of the terrace space on which sway was designed, the owners approached us with a brief to design an open restaurant that allows great views of the neighborhood.

The proposed design was to construct a traditional gable roof form which accommodated a mezzanine floor. The mezzanine has views of all 4 sides as they are enclosed by walls with glass inserts. Along with the sloped roof form, the mezzanine floor makes for a great view as you enter the restaurant. The view from the mezzanine in turn of the restaurant is also a great experience.

Seating design has been proposed as minimalist. The immovable fixed seating has been reused from a different restaurant. The use of metal sections to form brace design gives the bar a very rustic and industrial look.
The use of a green wall gives a green relief to the space. Different textures for finishes have been used in furniture and wall finishes.
